Sibo Sankar Mishra, Ananda Charan Behera Sworn in as Orissa HC Judges

Bhubaneswar: Sibo Sankar Mishra and Ananda Charan Behera were sworn in as judges of Orissa High Court on Tuesday.

Orissa High Court Chief Justice Subhasis Talapatra administered the oath of office to Sibo Sankar Mishra and Ananda Charan Behera as judges of the High Court.

With the new appointments, the total strength of judges in the Orissa High Court rose to 22.
Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu, in exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India and after consultation with the Chief Justice of India appointed Supreme Court advocate Mishra and judicial officer Behera as judges of Orissa High Court on Saturday last.

Advocate Sibo Sankar Mishra has a standing of 30 years at the Bar and specialises in civil, criminal and service law. He is an Advocate-on-record for the State of Odisha in the Supreme Court and is counsel for the Union of India and High Court of Orissa in the Supreme Court.

Ananda Chandra Behera, a judicial officer, has served in various capacities in Odisha.
