Six More Poachers Arrested During Combing Operation in Kuldiha Sanctuary

Bhubaneswar: Six more poachers have been arrested during the combing operation in Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary in Balasore district.

The operation was carried out jointly by the Similipal Tiger Protection Force, Nilagiri Police and Forest Department officials.

During the operation, six more poachers have been apprehended with five guns and traps used for poaching with animal trophy from the periphery of Kuldiha Sanctuary, informed PCCF Sushant Nanda.

He said, “The drive continues. Our staff now operating at Kuldiha Sanctuary is ready to take on poachers with latest fire arms. Poachers should know that if they try to harm our staff, the retaliation would be heavy”.

Notably, the Forest Department has intensified the combing operation in Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary following the attack by poachers to two forest officials.
