Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik on Friday launched a scathing attack on the opposition leaders branding them as political tourists who visit the state only at the time elections and then disappear.
Talking to national news agency PTI, the BJD President said, “This time there are some Chief Ministers and Union Ministers, who come as political tourists only at the time of elections and then they disappear”.
The speeches of the political tourists have no effect on the people of Odisha, said CM Naveen.
The CM also condemned the derogatory and abusive language that many of these leaders are using while campaigning in Odisha.
“It’s most unfortunate that many of them use derogatory and abusive language. I never believe in doing that and the people don’t, here in our state, appreciate such language”, the BJD supremo said.
