Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Sonepur has recorded highest day time temperature in the country with the mercury soaring to 44.2 Degrees Celsius today. Sixteen places in the state recorded temperatures more than 40 Degrees.
While Balangir reported 4.8 Degrees, Baripada recorded 42.5 degrees. Boudh and Jharsuguda recorded 42.2 degrees Celsius. Talcher, Sundargarh, Titlagrh, Paralakhemundi and Anugul recorded temperatures of 41.8, 41.5, 41.5, 41, 41.7 degrees respectively.
The Indian Meteorological Department has said that there will not be any major changes in the prevailing temperatures in the state for the next five days.
