SRC Calls For Action Against Circulation of Fake News Regarding Unlock In Social Media

Bhubaneswar: Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena has called for action against those people who are spreading fake news regarding unlock guidelines from 17th June. In a tweet, the SRC said “Odisha Government has not issued any guidelines for lockdown/unlock effective from 17th June2021. Whatever is circulating in social media is fake. All are requested not to be misled by such news.”He also said that guidelines will be issued at an appropriate time.

In another tweet, he requested all who have posted a fake news to withdraw immediately and not create confusion among the people. He also asked the DGP to look into the matter and take immediate action. An old news clipping of last year telecast in an Odia News Channel is making rounds in the social media creating confusion that new unlock guidelines have been issued.
