STF Busts Fake Currency Racket; Two Arrested, Fake Currency of Rs 14.29 lakh Seized

Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch has busted a fake currency racket and arrested two persons involved in the crime.

During a raid at an undisclosed location in Barpalli area of Bargarh district, the STF seized fake currency notes with face value of Rs 14.29 lakh.

The STF arrested two accused persons – Pattu Yadav, a native of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh and Balaram Meher of Barpalli – involved in the racket.

The fake currency notes were seized from their possession along with a printing machine, as per reports.
A case has been registered with Bargarh police for necessary legal action, the STF said.
