STF Seizes Huge Quantity of Ganja, Jewellery in Ganjam; Two Arrested

Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch has seized huge quantity of ganja and jewellery in Ganjam district and nabbed two peddlers in this connection.

During a raid, the STF has seized ganja weighing 107 kg, 517 gram of opium, 607 grams of gold, 196 grams of silver, one vehicle and 29 landed property documents and other incriminating materials from Raghunathsahi under Buguda police limits in Ganjam district, according to reports.

The drug peddlers have been identified as Banmali Pradhan and Arun Pradhan of Raghunathsahi.

As the accused persons could not produce any document or authority for the possession such as Ganja and opium for which they have been arrested and now they are being forwarded to the court.

In this connection, STF has registered a case under the NDPS Act 1985. Investigation is still on.

Since 2020, STF has seized more than 50 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin, 202 Gram Cocaine and more than 93 quintals of Ganja/Marijuna, Opium 750 gram and arrested more than 141 drug dealers/peddlers.
