Strategic Planning To Contain Covid Infections By RMC Bears Fruits In Rourkela

Rourkela: With Sundargarh district reporting a large number of Covid-19 infections, mostly from the urban pockets of Rourkela, the Rourkela Municipal Corporation administration has swung into action and taking all precautionary measures to break the chain. The strategy by the civic body is to declare Micro Containment Zones in the affected areas to check the spread of COVID 19 infection. Rourkela Municipal Corporation has also been taking all necessary steps to help the people residing in the containment areas. Medicines, essential items etc are being provided to people by the RMC. 

According to Dibyajyoti Parida, Commissioner, RMC, we have increased the number of tests conducted in Rourkela and declaring micro containment zone including 30 to 40 houses where the more infections are reported. The people living in the zones are being tested for Covid 19 and ensuring that all infected people are identified. We have also entrusted special officers for each micro containment zone who are ensuring the availability of essential items and services. Mission Shakti members are also providing the essential grocery items in the containment zones.
