Sudarsan Pattnaik Creates Millets Mission Sand Art at Biju Patnaik Airport; Appreciations Pour In

Bhubaneswar: With the celebrations of Mandia Dibasa remaining just few days ahead on November 10th, the Millet fever has gripped everyone. Noted sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik has created a life size sand art depicting the Odisha Millets Mission at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar which has attracted wide appreciations.

Sudarsan has created the sand art to create awareness about Odisha’s flagship program Millets Mission.

In his tweet, the renowned sand artist has said, “The flagship initiative, Odisha Millets Mission has become a model to revive the nutri-cereals in farms and plates. In the run up to the International Year of Millets 2023, Odisha’s efforts at re-valorization of consumption of millets deserve praise. My sand art at Bhubaneswar airport.”

His sand art has also received appreciations from various quarters.

Taking to twitter, Agriculture Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain said, “Appreciate Shri @sudarsansand’s hardwork and effort for depicting Odisha Govt’s flagship initiative, @MilletsOdisha through this beautiful #sandart.

Arabinda Padhee, Principal Secretary, Agriculture Department has said, “Very pleased to have the support of international sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik for our mission to revive and promote millets.
