Tata SEZ In Gopalpur To Receive 5 MLD Of Water From Kansariganda

Berhampur: The Tata Steel Special Economic Zone at Gopalpur will receive five MLD of water daily from Kansariganda in-stream storage facility that is situated at Patlampur Panchayat of Chatrapur Block on Rusikulya river.

A meeting of the Ganjam District Investment Promotion Agency headed by Collector Dibyajyoti Parida was held yesterday during which the various issues associated with the industries were discussed. The thrust was on solving the problems such as water, electricity and land issues the small and big industrial units facing and pave way for their early solution and implementation. It was informed at the meeting that the Tata Steel SEZ will receive five MLDs of water from the Kansariganda in-stream water storage facility through pipelines being laid by IDCO. The Collector order the IDCO officials to complete the work as early as possible.

The meeting was attended by Keerthi Vasan V, CDO-cum-Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Ganjam, GM DIC, Mahesh Choudhury .
