Bhubaneswar: The Khordha District administration has won rich accolades at the India Today State of The State Conclave held yesterday at Bhubaneswar. The District administration led by Collector Sangram Mohapatra was awarded the Best Performing district in the fields of Education, Economy, Sanitation and Skill Development by the India Today Group. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik handed over the Award and Citation to Collector Sangram Mohapatra at the event attended by a large number of dignitaries.
Khordha District has been in the forefront in implementing the various programs and policies of the State Government for the welfare of the common man. The district has become an Educational Hub in the last few years attracting students from all across the country. The district has also attracted large investments in industrial sectors including manufacturing, food processing, services, tourism and business process outsourcing.
Speaking on the achievement, Collector Sangam Mohapatra has said that “Our endeavor is to bring all round development for the people of the district. In the last few years, we have generated a large number of employment opportunities for our youth. Khordha has become an important place in the education of map of the country. Our thrust is on making Khordha a clean and green district with sanitation being given priority.”
