Bhawanipatna: At least three Maoists were killed in an encounter during a combing operation at Tapareng-Ludengarh forest under Madanpur Rampur police limits in Kalahandi district today. A DSP rank officer has also sustained bullet injury during the encounter.
The injured DSP has been sent for treatment at the Bhima Bhoi Medical College in Bolangir. All the three dead bodies and one AK-47 rifle have been recovered.
