Bhubaneswar: Three wetlands of Odisha – Tampara Lake of Ganjam, Hirakud Dam, Sambalpur and Ansupa Lake, Cuttack have made it into the Ramsar list of wetlands of international importance.
Union Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, informed in a tweet today.

Recently, Odisha’s Satakosia Gorge was also included in the Ramsar list. With this, six places of Odisha have made itto the very important list of wetlands. With the inclusion of eleven nes sites, the total number of Ramsar sites in the country has gone up to 75.
