Three Prison Personnel from Odisha Conferred Correctional Service Medals on I-Day 2022

New Delhi: Three prison personnel from Odisha have been conferred with the Correctional Service Medals on the occasion of Independence Day, 2022.

While Jailer Bivendu Bhuyan has received the President’s Correctional Service Medal for Distinguished Service, Jailer Bulu Matia and Assistant Jailor Supak Kumar Nayak have been conferred with the Correctional Service Medal for Meritorious Service, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

A total of 1,082 police personnel from CAPFs and state forces have been awarded various categories of service medals, including for gallant action, on the occasion of Independence Day.
