Thrust On Academic Excellence: CM Naveen To Distribute Appointment Letters To More Than 4000 Teachers Today
Bhubaneswar: In a step that will further strengthen the State Government’s commitment to academic excellence in Government Schools, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will today distribute appointment letters to more than 4000 teachers. The Chief Minister will hand over the appointment letters to the teachers at a program to be organised at the Kalinga Stadium. According to sources, the newly appointed teachers include 3714 Trained Graduate Teachers and 452 Physical Education Teachers.
The Government of Odisha, with an aim to transform the school education system and bring in academic and curricular excellence, at the primary school level, has taken initiative to recruit more than 20,000 junior teachers. This will greatly help in filling up the vacant posts teachers. The written test for the same was recently concluded. The appointment of such a large number of teachers will give a new direction to the primary education system in the state.
