Angul: A two-day long State Level Crash Investigation Training programme began in Angul district on Friday.
The training programme will enhance the skills of police and transport department officers for investigating a road crash with a holistic approach, the State Transport Authority (STA) informed.
The training programme was inaugurated by DIGP, NCR Talcher Dr Sarthak Sarangi in presence of SP Angul, SDPO Talcher, ADM Angul , Addl commissioner Transport Road Safety STA Odisha & RTO Angul at Talcher.
As part of the programme, the officers of police and transport department will be trained on how to provide authentic data of an accident which in turn facilitates the designing of policy-level interventions for the reduction of road traffic accidents.
The programme has the objective to offer a scientific understanding of the accident investigation processes and its relevance.
