Nabarangpur: Odisha Vigilance sleuths have apprehended Limaraj Pradhan, Addl IIC of Umerkote Police station yesterday night when he was accepting bribe of Rs 20,000. He was taking the bribe money from a person to spare him in a domestic violence case. The Additional IIC tried to flee with the ill gotten money before being chased and rounded up by the vigilance department sleuths.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance PS Case no 21/22 U/s 7 PC(Amendment)Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is under progress.
