Bhubaneswar: Utkal University, one o the oldest universities in Odisha, will join hands with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar for conducting research in healthcare sector.
Utkal University and AIIMS, Bhubaneswar will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for it, said Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar Prof Asutosh Biswas while speaking at the 80th foundation day of Utkal University in Bhubaneswar.
The proposed MoU will go a long way in bringing substantial improvement in healthcare services, he said.
The centre of innovation and incubation, e-library and e-laboratory of Utkal University are playing a significant role in sharpening different talents of students and making them self-reliant, he added.
Gracing the foundation day as Chief Speaker Science and Technology Secretary Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma said, Only knowledge is not sufficient in life, development of talents and character building is also important while acquiring knowledge”.
Utkal University is taking a number of measures to strengthen its position among the top higher education institutions of the country, said Vice-Chancellor Sabita Acharya.
