Puri: The forest wing of Odisha Vigilance on Thursday raided on five illegal sawmills in Puri district and seized sawmill accessories along with valuable timber worth above Rs 45 lakh.
“In a joint forest raid conducted by forest wing of Odisha Vigilance on running of five illegal sawmills at village Dandikera, Ainsamul, Tulasipur under Nimapara PS and Daspatna and Baidharpur under Balanga PS in Puri district, sawmill accessories along with valuable timber worth above Rs 45 lakh seized”, the vigilance said.
Further investigation is underway and detailed report is awaited.
