Vigilance Unearths Assets Worth over Rs 3.39 Cr during Raids at Sambalpur Chief Electrical Engineer’s Properties So Far
Sambalpur: Odisha vigilance sleuths have unearthed assets worth over Rs 3.39 crore so far in the ongoing raids on the properties of Sunil Kumar Panda, Chief Engineer-cum-Chief Electrical Inspector, Sambalpur.
The assets unearthed so far include – one 3 BHK Flat in Sambalpur, two plots in Sambalpur town, one shop booked in Grand Bazar, BBSR (The cost paid is Rs.1,04,71,428), one plot booked with M/S Assotech, Builders, BBSR (The cost paid Rs.61,65,000), bank deposits worth Rs. 32.04 lakh, insurance deposits worth Rs.19.80 lakh, investment in Mutual Fund worth over Rs.16.28 lakh, one four wheeler worth over Rs.17.41 lakh, household articles, gold ornaments, cash & other movable & immovable properties worth Rs.15.77 lakh.
Panda has come under the scanner of vigilance on charges of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Simultaneous house searches are being conducted by teams of the vigilance officials led by two DSPs with support of nine inspectors, two assistant sub inspectors and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued Special Judge Vigilance, Sambalpur.
Further searches are continuing, the vigilance said.
