Vigilance Update: Cash Worth More Than Rs 3 Crore Unearthed From Prasant Kumar Rout, Addl. Sub-Collector, Nabarangpur

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths carrying out searches in connection with the disproportionate assets of Prasant Kumar Rout, Addl. Sub Collector, Nabarangpur, have unearthed huge cash from his possession. The Vigilance teams have found Cash worth more than Rs 3.02 crore from the officer. While about Rs 2.25 Crore in cash was found from his Bhubaneswar residence, Rs 77 lakh in cash was found from Nabarangpur. The Vigilance had to use currency counting machines to count the cash unearthed. It is one of the biggest cash seizures by the Odisha Vigilance in recent times. As the searches are continuing, the amount is likely to increase.
