We Are Proud For Getting Opportunity To Make The Tricolors: Mission Shakti Members To Naveen

Bhubaneswar: Mission Shakti Self Help Group members from six districts – Ganjam, Gajapati, Nuapada, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri today met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the Naveen Niwas. During the meeting, the Chief Minister thanked them for successfully taking up the important work to manufacturing national flags for the 75 years of India’s Independence celebrations. The Chief Minister said that he has full faith on the members of Mission Shakti as they have the capability to do much more.

The Mission Shakti members said that they are very happy to get the work of making tricolors. The members said that “We are successfully preparing Mid Day meals, stitching dresses for Anganwadi children, collecting electricity bills and even learning driving in Nuapada. We have the confidence that we can do. We have been able to engage ourselves in useful works.”

The Government of Odisha had entrusted the Mission Shakti Self help Group members to manufacture and distribute 30 lakh tricolors on the occasion of the 75 Years of India’s Independence.
