Thiruvananthapuram: Congress’ Kerala unit President, K. Sudhakaran, who was arrested in connection with a cheating case involving fake antique dealer Monson Mavunkal, on Sunday asserted that he will not step down from his post.
Talking to media persons in Kannur, he also said that he would file a defamation suit against the CPI-M’s state Secretary, M.V. Govindan and the CPI-M mouthpiece ‘Deshabhimani’ on their allegations against his involvement in a POCSO case.
Sudhakaran had offered to quit as state Congress chief after he was arrested in a cheating case against Mavunkal but now said that he will continue as per the wish of the Congress’s high command.
