Bhubaneswar: The Winter Session of the Odisha Assembly will start today. Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari is scheduled to present the Supplementary Budget for the year 2022-23 in the Assembly. The size of the Supplementary Budget is expected to be of around Rs 16,000 Crore with Health, Sports And Youth Affairs, Rural Development, and Agriculture Departments getting more allocations. The Appropriation Bill will be tabled in the house on 2nd December.
The House will pay homage to the former members and other eminent personalities who passed away since the last session of the Assembly. In total, the House Winter Session has 33 working days and will continue till 31st December 2022.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will today present the Odisha Fire Service Amendment Bill 2022 in the House for consideration and passage.
