Bhubaneswar: During his visit, the Chairman, WODC Asit Kumar Tripathy inaugurated the newly constructed class rooms at Kishore Nagar Degree College.
The additional classrooms are constructed in the 1st floor of the college and has been supported through WODC Fund.
In the event, the ROR of 3 Colleges & 13 High Schools of Athmalik Sub Division were distributed to the concerned institutional heads, as per the instructions of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
While addressing to the students, the Chairman desired that everyone should strive for transformative changes. As per the call of the day, the changes should reflect not only in the infrastructure facilities but also in the quality of education. Presently Education is the biggest resource to enhance Enterprenuership related Skills and & sky is the limit for it. He envisaged that in ensuing years Kishore Nagar area can well be developed for agri- enterpreneureship. He gave a call to the students to come forward and take advantage of different schemes of Govt of Odisha like Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyog Yojna to exploit the vast potentiality of the region for edible oil & food processing. He was hopeful that the local tourism potential can also well be encashed for livelihood promotion.
The Chairman called upon the faculty members for required changes in design of teaching curriculum so that students can be attracted towards e -commerce and create market for local products with marketable packaging & branding. During his visit, among others Athamallik MLA Ramesh Chandra Sai, CEO, WODC Ajit Kumar Mishra, Collector, Angul Sidhartha Sankar Swain, Zilla Parishad President Babita Pradhan were present.
