CM Hikes Assistance Amount for Artists from Rs 1200 to Rs 2000

Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view the interests of the artists, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday hiked the amount of assistance for artists under the “Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana”.

The beneficiaries of this scheme will now get Rs. 2000 per month instead of Rs. 1200 per month.

Artists above 80 years will get Rs.2500 per month, according to an official release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

80,000 artists of the state will be benefited by the decision of the Chief Minister.

During the visit of 5T & Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian to districts, the artists requested for an increase in the assistance amount and their organizations presented their demands.

Apart from this, during the interaction with the 5T Chairman at the Convention Center of Lokseva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, the artists also requested for an increase in the amount of assistance.

Earlier, 50,000 artists of this scheme were given monthly assistance of Rs 1200. But now the target of this scheme has been increased to 80,000 so that 30,000 more artists of the state can benefit from the Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana.
