New York: As the death toll due to Coronavirus in the US nears 100,000, The New York Times has devoted Sunday’s entire front page to feature the list of COVID-19 causalities in the country.
The entire front page of the leading publication is filled with the names, ages and brief details of some of the virus victims with the headline “U.S. DEATHS NEAR 100,000, AN INCALCULABLE LOSS” and Sub-head “They Were Not Simply Names on a List. They Were Us.”
The names and brief descriptions are being drawn from obituaries from around the country, the paper said.
According to Johns Hopkins University, more than 96,000 people have died of Covid-19 in the United States.
