Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal, one of the largest regional political parties in India, today observed its 25th Foundation Day.
In its journey of more than two decades, the BJD under the leadership of Naveen Patnaik, has put the State on a transformation trajectory that has no looking back and is on a determined path to sustainable and equitable development.
The BJD, founded on December 26, 1997 based on the ideologies of legendary leader Biju Patnaik to take Odisha on the path of development while fulfilling the aspirations of the people, has completed 25 years in the political history of Odisha.
It is a major achievement for any political party to complete more than two and half decades in service of the people.
The Biju Janata Dal has turned into a social movement with the blessings of people of Odisha, said party President and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the occasion of 25th Foundation Day of the BJD.
As the party observes its 25th Foundation Day, social media has seen a plethora of congratulatory messages for the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik-led party.
In Twitter, the hashtag “#25 Years of BJD” has trended and occupied the third position.
The Twitter users showered their praises to the dynamic leadership of Naveen Patnaik and blessed the party.
“Congratulations for completion of 25 years. it’s a great achievement of BJD”, tweeted a user.
