Bhubaneswar: In line with the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s 5T charter of governance, the Learner Licence (LL)/ Driving Licence (DL) process will go paperless in Odisha from February 1.
The State Transport Authority (STA) announced this through its Twitter handle.
From February 1 onwards, there is no need to submit paper documents like printed application form, declaration form, slot booking slip, fee payment receipt and photo copies of id/age/address proof, blood group report for LL/DL applicant, STA said.
The online application process is very simple. The applicants just need to upload documents of age and address proof on Paarivahan Sewa and the data will be stored on NIC platform.
The applications will have to only mention blood group in the application form and there is no need to upload the report online. And if the applicant uploads Aadhaar card, then he/she will not have to produce separate documents for address and age proof, said an official.
The initiative will effectively reduce the necessity of the people to visit RTOs.
