Bhubaneswar: The ruling Biju Janata Dal is leading by 12548 votes by the end of seventh round of counting in the by-poll to the Padampur Assembly seat in Bargarh district.
In the seventh round, the BJD secured 5765 votes, BJP got 3921 votes and Congress 161 votes.
The BJD led the seventh round by 1844 votes taking cumulative lead to 12548.
The by-poll was held on December 5 and had witnessed record voter turnout of 81.29 percent.
