Phulabani: In an inspiring story amid the pandemic gloom, an 83-year-old man from Odisha’s Kandhamal district has defeated the second wave of COVID-19, lifting the spirit of other patients, who are currently battling with the dangerous disease.
The octogenarian from Baliguda block, Shyamghan Panda, has recovered from the virus after undergoing treatment at Badagaon COVID Care Centre.
He was discharged from the CCC on Saturday and returned to his home. The medical team has congratulated Shyamghan Panda for his recovery.
Kandhamal Collector Dr. Brundha D expressed her happiness over the inspiring story and said that the octogenarian’s victory will surely inspire others to stay strong during this pandemic.
