Bhubaneswar: In a first, 44 special children in Odisha experienced the joy of flying aboard in a special Alliance Air flight from Biju Patnaik International Airport here today.
The special flight took off at 9.30 A.M. and flew over the capital city air space for about 40 minutes before landing.
The dream of these Divyang children was fulfilled by Alliance Air in collaboration with the State Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD).
The children including 21 girls and 23 boys hailing from underprivileged families got this opportunity.
The Airport Authority of India has waived all the cost of flying and Odisha Government has extended full support to the initiative that aims to boost their morale and aspirations of the special kids.
