Odisha CM Adopts Zero Tolerance to Communalisation of COVID-19 Cases

Bhubaneswar : Exhibiting secular face of the State, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has adopted the policy of zero tolerance to communalisation of COVID-19 cases.

Reviewing the law and order situation in the context of
Covid 19, the Chief Minister directed the police to be
vigilant and take stringent action against those who are trying
to communalise the Covid situation.

The CM also  warned of zero
tolerance to mischief mongers and asked police to ensure
social harmony. He also stressed upon seamless movement
of goods and essential commodities in the state.

To make the medical team appropriately equipped for
fighting the COVID-19 menace effectively, the Naveen underlined the need for availability of sufficient number of Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) and other medical equipments for medical professionals.

CM also reviewed the opening of new Covid hospitals in
different parts of the state and asked officials to develop
capacity for at least 3000 beds by 15h of this month in the state.

The meeting was attended by Chief Advisor to CMO,
Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, DGP and other
senior offticers.
