Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has modified the containment zone in Surya Nagar area in the city.
In a notification, the civic body said the containment zone is now confined to these areas:
1. NCC Office to National Productive Council Office along Mumtaz Ali Street
2. National Productive Council to Surya Complex
3. Surya Complex to NCC Office
“However, active surveillance will continue in the areas earlier marked as containment zone for the next seven days, as a precautionary measure,” the notification said.
The Zonal Deputy Commissioner (South West) have been asked to de-seal the earlier boundary and seal all the entry/exit points in the modified area, it added.
Notably, Surya Nagar area has reported 8 positive cases of COVID-19.
