COVID-19: Uttarakhand Chief Minister, State Cabinet Placed under Home Quarantine

New Delhi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and his entire state Cabinet were placed under home quarantine after coming in contact with a Cabinet Minister, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, according to reports.

Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj, his wife Amrita Rawat and several other persons, including members of his family and staff, tested positive for coronavirus. The Minister was hospitalized along with his five family members.

Maharaj had attended the Cabinet meeting called by CM Rawat on May 29.

Uttarakhand has so far reported 907 cases of COVID-19, according to reports.
