Odisha Govt Asks Factories to Furnish Inventory of Flammable, Explosive Materials Used in Their Units

Bhubaneswar: In the wake of massive explosion in a ware house at Beirut city in Lebanon causing death of at least 70 persons and injuries several others on August 4, the Odisha Government has asked all factories in the State to provide the list and quantity of flammable and explosive materials used, handled and storied in their units.

The Government has also directed the factories to take all possible safety measures to prevent any untoward incident in future and furnish a report preparedness to deal with any such emergency.

The Directorate of Factories & Boilers, Odisha, which works under the Labour & ESI Department, wrote a letter to the Occupiers of all Factories in the State in this regard.
