Lucknow: Amid the spike in coronavirus cases in Uttar Pradesh, the MLAs will undergo mandatory COVID-19 tests ahead of the Assembly session as a precautionary measure.
The monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly will be commencing from August 20. The session will continue for just three days in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, according to reports.
Meanwhile, medical teams have been engaged to conduct tests of the legislators who will be attending the session.
The total coronavirus cases in Uttar Pradesh rose to 162434 as on Wednesday, reports added.
