BJD MPs Delegation Meets Union Culture Minister, Demands Withdrawal of NMA Draft Bylaw for Srimandir
New Delhi: Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal today demanded the withdrawal of the National Monuments Authority’s draft heritage bylaws.
A delegation of BJD MPs met Union Minister Culture Shri. Prahlad Singh Patel demanding withdrawal of the NMA draft bylaws prohibiting any construction activity in the 100-metre periphery of the 12th-century shrine.
The Union Minister assured the delegation that it would be withdrawn.
The BJD MPs as per the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik strongly placed the case after which the Union Minister assured that he is withdrawing the draft.
