Bhubaneswar,: On the wake of heat wave, the State government today rescheduled the class timings of schools for students from class IX to XII from 1st March.
According to the notification issued by the School and Mass Education department, classes of IX and XI which are at present running from 08.30 AM to 10.00 AM have been rescheduled to 7.00 AM to 9.00 AM.
Similarly, classes of X and XII which are at present running from 11.00 AM to 4.00 PM have also been rescheduled to 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM.
The District Education Officers are directed to ensure availability of safe pure drinking water in all schools including repair of tube well.
DEOs have also been advised to store sufficient ORS in schools to tackle any emergency.
