Karnataka Water Resources Minister Resigns over Sex Scandal

Bengaluru: In an embarrassment for BJP, Karnataka Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has reportedly tendered his resignation from the post today, following the controversy over the alleged ‘sex for job’ scandal.

Jarkiholi resigned after a video was leaked to TV channels of the minister getting intimate with a woman, according to media reports.

A social activist had lodged a complaint at Cubbon Park police station last evening, alleging that the Minister had threatened the woman, whom he had lured assuring a job in Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited, reports added.
