Bengaluru:Amid raising Covid-19 cases, Karnataka on Monday announced a lockdown for 14 days, starting on Tuesday, April 27.
The decision to impose state wide lockdown was taken today in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa.
Karnataka on Sunday reported another biggest single-day spike of 34,804 new COVID-19 infections, taking the total caseload to 13.39 lakh.
As many as 143 have also died of covid -19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 14,426.
