Naveen Condoles Demise of Rajya Sabha MP Raghunath Mahapatra

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condoled the demise of internationally acclaimed sculptor and Rajya Sabha MP Raghunath Mohapatra, who died due to COVID-19 on Sunday.

Taking to Twitter, the Chief Minister expressed that he was saddened to learn about the death of renowned artist and Rajya Sabha MP Raghunath Mohapatra.

Raghunath Mohapatra will always be remembered for his invaluable contribution for the enrichment of arts and heritage of Odisha, Naveen said.
The Chief Minister conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family and offered prayer for the departed soul.

The Rajya MP died due to COVID-19 this afternoon. He was 78.

He tested positive for COVID-19 on May 6. He was undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
