Odisha Govt to Set up RTPCR COVID-19 Testing Lab Facilities at 16 Dist Headquarters

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to set up RTPCR COVID-19 testing laboratory facilities at the headquarters towns of 16 districts to scale up testing in view of second wave of the pandemic.

The testing lab facilities will be set up at the district headquarters of Bhadrak, Boudh, Bargarh, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Khordha, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Subarnapur and Sundargarh, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department on Tuesday.
In case of Rayagada district, though the machine has been ordered by OSMCI, all the other peripheral equipments including BioSafety Cabinet Class II A2 and BSL Level 2+ will be installed, it added.
