CBI Arrests Paradip Port Health Organisation Doctor While Accepting Bribe of Rs 50000

Bhubaneswar: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Port Health Organization Officer at Paradip Port for accepting bribe of Rs 50,000. The Central investigating agency has also recovered cash in Indian and foreign currency from him. According to reports, the CBI has arrested Dr Rajendra Narayan Panigrahi, a doctor at the Port Health Organisation (PHO), Paradip, red-handed while accepting bribe from the crew members of a shipping company named Eminence Shipping Agencies. Later, raids were carried out at several places including Cuttack, Balasore and Paradip. During the searches, cash worth Rs 1 crore, foreign liquor, foreign cigarettes, and foreign perfumes of various brands were seized. He was taking the bribe amount from an agent of the shipping company for issuing health certificates of crew members.
