Berhampur: Spiritual guru Babaji Ramakrushna Das passed away at Kaliaguda village in Bellaguntha block in Ganjam district on Thursday. He was 88.
Babaji Ramakrushna Das had dedicated his entire life for the propagation of Harinam and Sanatan Dharma in Ganjam district and other parts of the State.
Known for his austerity and most disciplined life, Das took voluntary retirement from government job at his youth to dedicate his life for devotion of God.
He was the chief priest at the famous Hanuman temple at Kaliaguda where he used to impart spiritual knowledge and inspire people to lead a moral and meaningful life.
Babaji Ramakrushna Das was loved by the people across Ganjam and Kandhamal districts.
A pal of gloom descended at Kaliaguda village and other areas following the sad demise of Das.
Badaborsingi Sarapanch Rameswar Patra and people from several villages visited the Hanuman temple to pay their tributes to Babaji Ramakrushna Das.
The last rites of Babaji Ramakrushna Das will be performed at Swargadwar in Puri.
