Hyderabad: All the four accused involved in the dastardly act of rape and murder of the young veterinary doctor were gunned down by police in an encounter at around 3 AM Friday near National Highway 44 at Chatanpally in Mahabubnagar district. This is the same place where the victim was set ablaze by the four accused.
According to Telangana police, accused Mohammed Areef, Naveen, Shiva and Chennakesavulu were killed while they were trying to escape from the crime spot. The police was recreating the crime scene.
All the four accused were arrested by the police on November 29 for the rape and murder of the vet doctor. They were working as lorry drivers and cleaners. They were sent to judicial custody for 14 days on last Saturday.
The rape and murder incident has led to nationwide outrage and protested from all over the country are on roads demanding justice to the late victim.
