Konark: Five-day long annual Konark Festival was concluded on a memorable note.
In the open air auditorium with the famous Sun Temple at the back drop, the artistes of Bharatnatyam and Odissi stirred the souls of the audience with their serene and scintillating dance recitals.
Bharatnatyam Guru Vaibhav Arekar and troupe from Mumbai entered the stage with Suryastuti a prayer to Sun God.
The concluding item of the evening was dance drama ‘Hansadoota’ presented by the artistes of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra the tale of the golden swans being instrumental in establishing everything.
Taken from Harivansha Mahapurana, the dance drama glorified the pursuit of art which can lead everything to perfection.
