At 56th DGP Conference, Union Home Minister Awards Odisha’s Gangapur Police Station as Second Best PS in Country

Lucknow: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday awarded Odisha’s Gangapur Police Station as the second best Police Station in the country.

The Union Home Minister awarded the PS during the 56th Director Generals of Police (DGP) conference which began here on Friday.

Dhiresh Kumar Das, IIC Gangapur PS has received the prestigious award with certificate of appreciation from the Home Minister.

The Gangapur Police Station in Ganjam District has been adjudged as one of the best three Police Stations in the country in the Annual Ranking of Police Stations for the year 2021.

Of the police stations in Odisha, it tops the list of best-performing police stations in the State as per the assessment by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
