Cuttack: The Cuttack district administration today declared Athagarh NAC as containment zone after the detection of two COVID-19 positive cases from the area.
The order will remain in force from 2 pm on June 30 (Tuesday) till 6 pm on July 3 (Friday), informed Cuttack Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani.
The following areas come under containment zone:
• East: All the connecting approach roads to State Highway-65
• West: Athgarh NAC, Birakishorepur to Dorada Chhak
• North: Chandabali Chhak to Barabati Hotel at Kantol
• South: Chandabali Chhak to Kaitha Chhak, Dhaipur, Chandabali Chhak to Radhaballavpur
No public will be allowed to move into the containment zone and the inhabitants within the containment zone have been directed to stay at their homes.
All shopping establishment will be shut down immediately. The supply of essentials and medical requirement will be arranged through district administration, according to the order.
Cuttack district has reported 575 cases of COVID-19, of which 121 cases are active.
