Bhubaneswar: Balwant Singh has taken over as Managing Director of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) from Vineel Krishna, who has been appointed as the Special Secretary to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Prior to his new role, Balwant Singh served as the Collector of Puri.
OMC is the largest State PSU in mining sector in the country and undertakes exploration, mining and trading of iron, chrome, bauxite ores.
